Baby Cast in Cold Cast Metal
If you can't quite stretch to solid bronze but want a finish that will be safe from drops and knocks then why not have your castings finished in cold cast metal. Choose from cold cast bronze, cold cast brass or cold cast pewter. Cold Cast is simply lots of metal particles which are suspended in a plastic material (resin) to give a metal effect. The only way you could really tell is by the weight - they are light like plastic so are ideal to frame if you wished. Also you can have copies made very cheaply as most of the cost is in the creating of having a permanent mould made of your little one's baby castings.
Baby Foot Cast in Antique Paint Effect
If you are going to stick with the plaster finish then why not ask a consultant to finish your baby castings in this wonderful paint effect. Once framed I have to say they look truly stunning!
Painted Baby Hand and Foot Castings (available in casting kits)
If buying a kit then you will have the option of gold, silver or bronze to paint your finished baby castings. They still look great and have a lovely sheen to them.
